For Teens Ages 13-17
Bring your favorite book and give it the glow-up it deserves! Join us at the library to BLING YOUR BOOK with diamond art gems. Make your shelves sparkle and your TBR shine!
Teens bring one book of their choice to decorate with diamond art at this program. All diamond art supplies will be provided. All teens need to bring is one of their own books to decorate. This program is FREE, and you don't need a library card to participate.
Register for TWEEN Dinosaur Silhouette Sunset Art
For Tweens Ages 8-12
Tweens will follow along as we paint a prehistoric sunset scene step-by-step. All materials will be provided. This is a FREE program. You don't need a library card or have to live in Marion County to participate.
BUMP TO BABY: FREE Classes for New and Expecting Mothers
FREE For Expecting and New Mothers
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Hope's Choice to offer a new FREE class for expectant and brand-new moms! “Bump to Baby” is a one-time class designed to provide helpful information, encouragement, and practical support for your parenting journey. Topics will include labor & delivery, breastfeeding, newborn expectations, shaken baby syndrome, SIDS prevention, infant CPR, and more.
Mom must be at least 3 months pregnant OR baby must be less than 6 weeks old at the time of the class.
Each attendee will receive a basket filled with baby essentials as well as a free car seat.
This class will be held at Winfield Public Library on Saturday, June 27 from 10 am until 1 pm. Registration is required to attend.
The class will be offered quarterly at the Winfield Public Library and will also begin meeting quarterly at our office in Fayette in August. Information for the Fayette class will be provided later in the summer.

Alabama Ballet Dance Discovery

Step into the enchanting world of ballet with Dance Discovery. This is a fun and interactive program that takes you behind the scenes of a professional dancer's life. From the rich history of ballet to the artistry of pointe shoes and tutus, this program offers a hands-on exploration of everything that makes ballet magical. You’ll not only learn about the tradition and technique of this timeless art form, but also try out basic ballet steps yourself!
The experience will culminate in a small performance, followed by an interactive Q&A session where you can ask all your burning ballet questions. Whether you're a dance enthusiast or a first-timer, Dance Discovery is a captivating journey into the elegance and discipline of ballet!
